Cingular Wireless has introduced new international calling and roaming plans for people who call or travel out of the country frequently.

Cingular announced Tuesday the launch of its nationwide 3G wireless broadband network in 16 major metropolitan areas.

Qualcomm and Connexion announced Monday that they have successfully tested in-flight mobile calls using CDMA and GSM standards. The tests were conducted on Connexion One, a Boeing 737.
