BellSouth FastAccess Business DSL gets same-day repair guarantee

BellSouth announced Monday that it would offer a same-day repair guarantee for its FastAccess Business DSL customers. Under the terms of the new guarantee, business customers who report trouble with their DSL connection by noon and accept the first repair appointment offered are guaranteed a same-day repair.

In the event BellSouth fails to repair the line the same day, the business would receive a service credit equal to the amount of downtime plus 10% of the monthly recurring charge.

Previously BellSouth offered a 24-hour repair guarantee.

“BellSouth has taken the lead in the business broadband marketplace with a robust repair guarantee that gives our customers confidence that their business will be up and running,” said David Scobey, president of retail markets for BellSouth. “BellSouth wants to help our customers get in business and stay in business. This is one way we can deliver on our customer commitments.”

BellSouth has over 325,000 small business DSL lines across its nine-state footprint.

It’s been my experience that BellSouth repairs lines very quickly in almost all of its service areas, whether business or residential. I’ve seen BellSouth repair technicians go above and beyond to get customer lines up and running, and while they are — like any company — not without the occasional problem, BellSouth has always been great to work with and willing to go the extra mile.

    MY COMPUTER WAS OUT TWO WEEKS.I CALLED BELLSOUTH AND ALL YOU GET IS A FORNIER YOU CANT UNDERSTAND.IT STILL ISNT RIGHT.I FOUND OUT THEY CHANGED MY PASSWORD.YOU HAD NO REASON TO DO THIS.ITS STILL NOT FAST EXCESS.DONT EVEN HAVE VIRUS PROTECTION.IM DISAPOINTED.
