Qwest working without contract

Qwest employees are currently working without a contract as union leaders report progress in talks with Qwest management.

Early this morning Communications Workers of America and Qwest ended a marathon 20 hour bargaining session. Both parties expect talks to resume shortly.

While the CWA Executive Board has authorized a strike at Qwest, a strike will not happen until the CWA President sets a strike date.

CWA represents Qwest workers in Arizona, Colorado, Iowa, Idaho, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.
